Creative Screen Printing

Spend a Saturday immersed in colour, pattern and the printed image. Work with numerous techniques including hand drawing directly on the screen, film positive screens and premade texture screens, discover a multitude of exciting and creative possibilities printing on fabric. Great for beginners.
We will be working with easy to use and readily available transparent and opaque water based printing inks designed for studio printing. You will be taught to mix your own colour combinations that are suitable for a variety of light and dark fabrics. Participants will be asked to send 2 of your favourite small black and white images, if you wish, prior to the workshop so screens can be prepared in advance. The instructor will reach out with details once you have registered. Working with your own imagery and patterns you make during the class in addition to what is available in the studio, you will discover endless possibilities as you create your own fabulous and colourful printed textiles. A basic collection of fabric will be supplied to each student.
A small supply list of easy to find items will be mailed out prior to the workshop.
